Question: The common belief is that You (Jesus) and Your apostles were supported/ provided for by Your supporters. Is this true?

God’s answer:

Easy money

I fished for a living.

Meaning: He was a fisherman. This is why when He was asked to pay the temple tax, he pulled money out of a fish. Fishing was easy money because He is God. As God explained: You work for creation. creation works for Me. This was shown when He resurrected from the dead and appeared before Peter. He told Peter to cast the net on a particular side, and when they caught a lot of fish, Peter immediately knew it was Jesus who was speaking to them.

This made more sense to me than Jesus and His apostles relying on others to provide for them. As He said: I give to the poor, I do not take from them.

When I asked if this was enough to support Him, the apostles and their families, He repeated a previous message (a sculpture on the miracle of five loaves and two fish). I provide for all and all are satisfied.

Did Jesus accept gifts from people? Yes. Jesus did not solicit donations. Just as He told the apostles when He sent them out “give freely that which you receive freely.” He did accept tokens of gratitude. Why? He gave me the words: “Give and take” It is good to show genuine gratitude and appreciation when someone does something good for you. Likewise, it is also good to graciously accept well-meaning gestures from others. God used the word “token” to show that he did not accept exorbitant gifts.

Question: Is this correct.... you were a fisherman?

God’s answer:

I Am not a leech
I paid My own way.

Meaning: Jesus did not rely on freebies.

Question: So should people in the religious sector also “work for a living” outside of their religious duty?

God’s answer:

Don’t beg

Question: Please explain your answer?

God’s answer:

You take only what you are given. Don’t ask for more.
